IAN

Director

Ian served as a police officer for 30 years with 20 years of that as a Special Branch Officer.

During that time he specialised in Close Protection Operations and training, which involved the protection of the Royal Family and politicians, including Prime Ministers and visiting international diplomats.

Ian was also a specialist in anti-terrorism and was commended 3 times for his work working alongside the British Security Services.

After founding Cobra in 2002, Ian has recruited some of the best instructors in the UK and has established an enviable reputation for excellence in the security industry. Ian has gained over 20 years training experience, including many years as a consultant for clients such as Embassies and Global Security Companies.

SARAH

Director/Security Training Consultant/ IQA

Sarah is a qualified Close Protection Officer with over 17 years’ experience within operations and training.

Sarah is a qualified Internal Quality Assurer and has extensive experience in managing Security training centres. ​​​

SCOTT

Senior Consultant, Close Protection

Scott is our senior consultant and brings to Cobra his wealth of experience in the Metropolitan Police, where he was a senior officer in the elite Royalty and Specialist Protection Department (RaSP).

Scott was the training lead and Course Director for the UK Police National Protection Officer Course and specialises in high profile protective security operations. He was the Personal Protection Officer for H.M. King Charles for the last five years of his police career and following retirement has used his considerable skills in the private sector, including a senior role in the security of the Commonwealth Games.

THERESA W

Office Manager, Instructor.

Theresa is a Cobra-trained Close Protection Operative. She is responsible for the overall management of Cobra UK Security and will be your invigilator for your exams.

She has over 15 years experience within the security industry. Theresa has worked as a security Operations Manager, Projects Manager as well as teaching SIA courses such as DS, CCTV, Top Ups and Physical Intervention. She also teaches First Aid as and when required

When she's not ensuring the administration is up to date and on point, she is working as the National Security Manager for a major logistics company, managing in excess of 350 officers on a daily basis with the support of her operations team.

STEVE

Development & Logistics

A business graduate and former police officer, Steve is in charge of our company development and logistics. He brings to Cobra a wealth of business and project management experience. He heads up our business management team and customer service department, ensuring that our customers receive the very highest standard of service and training.

Steve is tasked with moving the company forward both with training and operational work over the next 5 years.

JACK

Marketing / Tech

Jack is a qualified Close Protection Officer of 6 years' experience and has further specialised in Search, Surveillance and First Aid.

Jack now manages the tech and marketing arms of Cobra.

KEVIN

Instructor

Kevin is a former armed forces soldier with 20 years of police experience, specialising in Close Protection. Currently, he works with high profile celebrities and members of Parliament. As an accomplished Close Protection Instructor, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the Cobra team, greatly benefiting our students. Kevin is always eager to assist newcomers in their career journeys, offering guidance and support to help them succeed in the field. 

MITCHELL

Instructor

Mitch is a vastly experienced Close Protection Officer with extensive experience of Door Supervision work.

He has worked as a CPO with 'A' list celebrities including Taylor Swift, Robert De Niro, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Conor McGregor.

He brings a wealth of experience to the Cobra Operational and Training team.
