FIRST RESPONSE EMERGENCY CARE (FREC 3)

5 DAY COURSE

COURSE INFO

The 5 day First Response in Emergency Care course is a regulated and Nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those working in high risk careers such as the Private Security Industry.

Learn how to respond to emergencies quickly and safely, keeping yourself and those around you safe, whilst awaiting further emergency care assistance. 

This course is an essential qualification to add to your continuous professional development as a Close Protection officer or Door Supervisor, becoming more employable and qualified in life saving care.

The course is assessed by:-

  • 6 practical assessment/ skills tests

  • 3 multiple choice tests

  • 1 invigilated exam

* This course will need to be renewed every 3 years, with a 3 day refresher course.

SKILLS PREREQUISITES

  • No previous First Aid qualification is required

  • Minimum age, 17 years

  • Adequate English (reading and writing) and numeracy is required

  • Adult, child and infant CPR & AED usage

  • Return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) procedures

  • Helmet removal

  • Neck, spine and pelvic immobilisation
